We use recalls and clinical reminders to help you stay on top of your health, follow up important results and keep up with recommended preventive care.
Recalls and reminders help you stay on track
You may receive a message from us when your doctor would like you to follow something up or complete an important health check.
Recall
A recall usually relates to a test, scan or other investigation you have already had. Your doctor may want to discuss your results with you or arrange further care.
Clinical Reminder
A clinical reminder is a prompt to take action on your health, such as booking a routine health check, screening test or follow-up investigation.
What happens when you are recalled?
Your doctor reviews your results
Our doctors review incoming test results and reports each day.
You receive a notification
If your doctor would like to discuss your results with you, we may contact you by SMS, email or through the HotDoc app.
You book a follow-up
Follow the instructions in your notification and book an appointment with your doctor.
What does your notification mean?
Not every result requires an appointment. The type of notification you receive will depend on what your doctor has determined is appropriate.
We will contact you
If your doctor considers your results urgent, a GP or nurse will contact you as soon as possible.
Book an appointment
If your results need to be discussed but are not urgent, we recommend booking a follow-up appointment within 2 weeks of your notification.
No follow-up is required
If no further action is required, you may not hear from us or may receive a message confirming that no action is required at this stage.

Received a recall through HotDoc?
If your recall was sent through the HotDoc app, you can use the app to view the notification and follow the instructions to book your appointment.
