What is an Endocrinologist?

An Endocrinologist is a medical specialist who treats people with a range of conditions that are caused by problems with hormones, such as diabetes, menopause, and thyroid problems.

Hormones are part of the endocrine system, a series of glands that produce and secrete hormones that control many other bodily functions. The endocrine system includes:

• the thyroid gland

• the parathyroid gland

• the adrenal glands

• the pancreas

• the ovaries and testes

You can book an appointment with Dr Tewari by calling us, or booking online via HotDoc. When booking with Dr Tewari, patients must:

• Have a valid referral from your GP (valid for 12 months) or specialist (valid for 3 months).

• Ensure your referral includes any relevant pathology/imaging results (your referring doctor should include this on your referral).

• Ensure you bring along any regular medications you take, or take a photo.
